their lives. Before you fly off the handle, hold on, and let me
explain: Once upon a time, when I was about 7 or so (all the good things in
life happened to me when I was 7), I had a lot of pets. I had a lot
of lovebirds, hanging suspended in a cage. And then I had a lot of
fish (or fishes, since there were many kinds) in an aquarium. One
night, we heard the birds screaming and we woke u Read More Go to Site

Votes:0 PET TIPS A new puppy will often whine because he misses his mother. Wrap a towel around a warm hot water bottle and place it in his bed. A ticking clock or a radio playing softly will also help. To help keep your puppy from chewing on the carpet and furniture, be sure he has his own rubber toys. On furniture (table, chair legs, etc.) that he is chewing on, try putting a little oil of cloves on the wood. The odor should keep him away, if not, the bitter taste will. For a new litter of puppies or kittens, confine them in a mesh playpen. With a wooden playpen with wooden slats, tape screen around the pen so they won't get out. Children's plastic pools are great for new puppies. The pool can be rinsed out to rid odors or messes. To get your puppy's attention, put a few pennies in a empty soda Read More Go to Site

Votes:0 Welcome to my page dedicated to the life and writings of James Herriot First, let me tell you a little about how this page came to be. My name is Heather Mazzaccaro and I'm a vet student studying at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Boston, MA. When I was in fourth grade my mother handed me a well worn paperback and told me that I should enjoy this one, it had animals in it. Being the animal lover that I am, I dove into it and once I started, there was no stopping me. I had the book read in no time. The title of the book was All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot. That Christmas I received the whole boxed set of James Herriot's works and diligently read through those as well. It was during this time that I made up my mind to pursue a veterinary career. It was spring Read More Go to Site

We have worked hard to create a special place where you can memorialize your pets, share your feelings, and come to understand what it means to lose a loved one. We consider pets to be members of the family, and when we lose a pet, it can be just as painful as losing a relative or dear friend. Placing an epitaph on the site is not only theraputic, but it's a way of helping others. Millions of people, including many children, visit the Virtual Pet Cemetery each year to read these epitaphs and gain a perspective on their lives.
